One example is, in February 2021 a US citizen, Peter Clark, smoked cannabis lawfully in America before traveling to Dubai. The day right after his arrival, Clark fell unwell with pancreatitis and was hospitalized and treated. Just before his discharge he was questioned to present a urine sample, through which traces of marijuana were being located.
